ABOUT

Hey, Thanks for stopping by!
A little about me; I love learning. I love learning on YouTube, I love learning from the brains of the professionals, and I love turning on broadcasts with my friends and over analyzing every storytelling element, always iterating on how I storytell.
Opportunities on Campus
Elon Sports Vision has been the single biggest influence of my college experience. My award winning team with some of my closest friends has helped me find my purpose. I couldn't be prouder to call myself a senior leader, leading our football crew as the director of 22+ students and full time staff, leading watch parties outside of the control room, and making myself available to mentor the younger students. I have worked over 125 broadcasts and I feel myself growing as a storyteller with each show I work.

Aidan Blake

Welcome to the Show
After becoming more seasoned inside the control room, I got to make my biggest jump yet. I was selected as the only intern on the 2025 Phillies TV truck with NBCUniversal. From shadowing every position within a big league broadcast, to countless inspiring conversations with anyone and everyone with Press Box Cafeteria access, this internship allowed me to grow as a professional, pick the brains of influential storytellers and learn how to seize every day. As the summer progressed, I got to build elements on EVS for the open, I jumped on camera for a half inning, and I helped find statistics in real time that made air. No doubt, this internship was a 450 foot dead center grand slam!
Perhaps my favorite sidequest is the 6 semesters I have spent as the founder and host of ‘Off the Bench,’ an analytical sports business radio show. On the show, we discuss current topics in sports business, bringing on guests such as Elon Athletic Director Jennifer Strawley, Savannah Bananas co-owner Emily Cole, and Director of Marketing and Communications for the MLB non-profit Umps Cares Amy Rosewater to add expert commentary to our conversations.
On-air Talent?!

Seizing Opportunities
One thing about me, I will never strike out looking. As a fan at a Savannah Bananas game, I knew I had to inquire about working, and two days later I was selling merchandise for the team. Then, I worked in four more cities on the 2024 World Tour. As a fan at an Eagles game, I approached WIP radio personality Joe Decamera and secured a day shadowing the radio station. As a fan at a Phillies game, I secured an internship with @thephillysportsguy after asking him if he needed help over the summer. To me it’s simple, I am never afraid to hear the word no.
Fireworks, Dings and Dogs
One of the craziest weeks of my life; Independence Day 2024 for me meant driving to Coney Island on July 2nd for set day and to operate ‘camera 1’ for the ESPN broadcast of the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, then driving up to Buffalo to work 3 gamedays slinging merch for the Savannah Bananas. The memories from this long weekend will last a lifetime, as it was my first time using a box lens, and my first reimbursed lunch. And the hot dog truck has become a staple for me, operating ‘camera 10’ for the 2025 show.

@NHL Popping my Tags
During my junior year, I started working for SportsMEDIA Technology, a company that brings real time data tracking and visualizations to millions of fans. My role as NHL Broadcast Operator connects me with directors and producers around the NHL for each broadcast I work on. During one of my Kraken broadcasts, Seattle's defenseman Brandon Montour scored the fastest goal in overtime history. His 4 second record was so fast it meant my player tags got posted on the NHL's official X (formally Twitter) and Instagram pages.
